And time still goes on....

Well, the collective blogospehere has taken a tumble from their heyday of 2008. 

It's been 6 years since we've last updated. 

Well a few things have happened (duh). Mostly do due with kids.

Kenzie

Kenzie is now 7.  She just finished first grade. She LOVES reading. It's been amazing to watch her grow up.  She is a go-getter and we expect great things from her. 
Jenny hates it when Danny suggests this - but the only person who would be able to put up a fight with Jenny would be a descendant of Jenny. Kenzie is like her mom in a lot of ways. I'll take a little stubbornness (don't hurt me Jenny) for all the spunk, independence, and hard work we get in return. 

Grace

Gracie, our second, is now 5! She is the sweetheart of the family. She loves to take care of the baby (more on him shortly). She is a good dancer and good at math. Probably more of a girly girl - so she is into dance and fashion. Her best subject is probably math and is very anxious for kindergarten.
Grace has had her share of health issues.  Nothing serious, but several very unpleasant trips to the doctor/hospital. Because of that we may have a soft spot for her. We may say 'yes' to her too often.  That is entirely possible.

Benjamin

Ben is..........there is no other way to put this. He's our hell-raiser. This kid is so destructive it's impressive. Victims of Ben's mayhem include : his own tongue(ER trip), the tip of his finger(same ER trip), several blinds, an iPhone, Danny's head(threw a cymbal at him), his own head(lots of bruises from running around), multiple dishes(gravity still works folks), our living room carpet(big can of paint) and Danny's formally thick, lush and bright hair.
The funny part about Ben is that he has such a cheery disposition - he's probably naturally the happiest out of all the kids.  So these acts of destruction are never done in rage or out of anger, he's doing stuff because he thinks it's fun. So it's hard to stay mad at him. I(Danny) always hear how I deserve it because I was the same way.  Others find that funny right now. I am not there yet. 

Joe

Baby Joe (Joey, Joseph, The Big J) is our 4th and likely last child. He is coming up on a year old. He has the best smile and laugh right now. Getting him to laugh is a treat. He wasn't our fastest to walk, but he is walking quite a bit for his first birthday. Unfortunately, he is good at making messes right now - he is really into playing with the dog food. We kind of hope he has the disposition of his Uncle David and less like his Dad. We'll keep you posted on what happens.

Jenny has taught preschool for several years. It has been great. The corona virus has us in a bit of a holding pattern for 2020-21 year, but we will be patient and see what happens.

As those around us have experienced significant blessings and trials we realize each day is a gift. We hope those we love can find happiness and joy even in these tough times. Y'all are great and deserve to be happy.
